Scalp Problems - 8 Steps To Get Rid Of Dandruff & Itchiness (Natural Remedy)

So the other day I decided (After so many recommendations from other curly girls) to try co-washing with Aussies 3 Minute Miracle conditioner and then moisturise with the TRESemme Naturals conditioner.

I went about my day and my hair felt so light and so fluffy. However when I got in from work that night I had a terrible itchiness right in the middle front of my hair! The urge was so bad I couldn't stop itching and even felt a burn! I went to look at my scalp in the mirror and saw a lot of flakes and 2 red spots! I mean I have no idea what caused this but lately I have been suffering from a dry scalp which made me purchase some natural Peppermint oil. Luckily I had this in time.

To combat the scalp itchiness here are the steps I took...

Combat Itchy Scalp Steps.

1) Using an application/spray bottle, apply diluted (1/4 ACV 1/2 Water) Apple Cider Vinegar to the scalp

2) Smooth in using fingertips
3) Grab a cotton bud and wet each side with cold water
4) Add 1 drop of Peppermint oil to each side of the bud

5) Part your hair to reveal the section you want to relieve
6) Smooth the cotton bud onto the area
7) Rub in using (FINGERTIPS) not your nails to scratch
8) Use 2 drops of Jojoba Oil to your finger tips and rub into the scalp

After about 5 minutes I felt an immediate difference and the itchiness had gone! Checking back the next day I could see no more flakes so will continue to do this treatment once a week.

I came up with this from the top of my head as after researching I knew that Apple Cider vinegar is a great way to cleanse the scalp and Peppermint oil soothes the soreness. Jojoba oil is also closest to your skins natural oil so I thought this would be a great moisturiser.

I have no idea what caused this outbreak and the 2 spots!
